"Our Father Who art in heaven.
Harold be Thy name."
(The way I heard The Lord's Prayer as a child.)
I remember wondering why God had so named him–
self. It appeared it was also sort of a family name—in
that there was a song about Harold Angels singing.
Reflection
We follow a 12-Step Program of Recovery,
Our 12th Step begins,
"Having had a spiritual awakening
as a result of these steps . . . "
The linchpin of our recovery is our reliance on our
Higher Power. You hear many names for the Higher
Power in the rooms, but the fact is, any name will do
if it affirms the spiritual connection for us.
Affirmation
Today, I will strive to stay close to my Higher Power
and remember the answer to the question, "Who keeps
us sober?"
