My five year old is singing Rick Astley, and has a very good concept of what a "prank" is. For example, just a while ago he said he was going to put something on TV for me to watch. I told him not to bother, as I was going downstairs to eat dinner. I came back, he had left Cocomelon playing, having found it on demand. If you don't have a five-year-old, you probably don't know what Cocomelon is, and I envy you.
In any case, the episode that happened to be playing featured the classic song "Bicycle Made For Two" (actually called "Daisy Bell" when it was published in 1892). I said to him, "My grandad used to sing that to me", and inexplicably, a trickle of tears formed on my face. I wasn't sad, in fact, I was probably smiling; caught like a fly in a web, in a pleasant moment of memory.
Funnily enough, my father-in-law has been known to sing the only other song that I remember my grandfather singing - "If I'd known you were coming I'd have baked a cake..."
