People drink for hereditary reasons, social reasons,
because they are tired, bored or restless.
People drink for as many reasons as they have
for wanting to feel better.
—Alfred Kazin
Reflection
Some of us drink because we have a disguised disease
that loves us on the surface and it plotting our murder
under the surface. And so it is that drinkers will find
any excuse to get high, if they're so inclined. The "rea-
sons" may be bogus or genuine, but they all land you
in the same ditch. Happiness is never the outcome.
Affirmation
Remind me, Divine Pal, that there are innumberable
reasons to drink, and only one to stay sober: my life.
