Nobody holds a good opinion of a man
who has a low opinion of himself.
—Anthony Trollope
Reflection
If you don't believe in yourself then who will? Absorb-
ing that is often very difficult for many of us. We feel
like phonies even as family, friends, and co-workers
recognize our achievements and our abilities. Our
doubt can lead to self-destructive actions. At the back
of it is a kind of pride that rejects the powers which
God has given us. We must look at our talents with
gratitude and understand that they were given to us for
the fulfillment of God's plan for us and his creation.
Affirmation
I must take responsibility for the gifts that God has
given me. God believes in me. I must know and accept
that fact.
