Reflection
The fire that seeks to be quenched by alcohol of course
only fuels the flames. Who among us has not been hit
by false pride, bitter envy, and smoldering avarice? O
poor, poor me, left behind as the world goes on its
merry way.
Affirmation
It is a splendid idea to take a positive inventory of what
I have on this day: breath, feelings, senses, and life
itself will do for now.
