A lifetime of happiness? No man could bear it.
It would be hell on earth.
—George Bernard Shaw
Reflection
Life seems to be made up of achieving the right com-
bination of opposites. Even the very best foods require
seasonings that are themselves unpalatable, but used in
correct proportion produce the meals of gourmets.
Opposing forces operate within each of us. Learning to
balance them creates the platform upon which we may
be open to true happiness when it comes. For many it
is an acquired taste, something to appreciate and savor,
knowing that it will not last forever.
Affirmation
I know how important balance is in my life and I will
try to always work for the kind of equilibrium that
allows me to function best.
