Reflection
We are all adept at appearing to be "fine," to our
friends and even to our families. It has been said that
we alcoholics are the greatest actors in the world. We
have played every role in the book and some that have
yet to be written. Showing our vulnerability and our
need for the love and help of others is hard. Many wait
until it is too late to ask. Comedy is tragedy from a dis-
tance AND IT AIN'T FUNNY. Always wave before
you are too far out.
Affirmation
Help me to reach out for help before I let circum-
stances overwhelm me. Help me to overcome my ego
and belief in my own tragedy.
